Kezadol PCI is a surface treated calcium oxide powder for use as an effective desiccant. The calcium oxide is coated by a chemically indifferent hydrocarbon. Due to this preparation Kezadol PCI has reduced air pollution. Additionally there will not be any unintended reaction with humidity.

Kezadol PCI can be used in PVC-plastisols, for carpet-back layers, polysulfide- and silicone-compounds, and polyurethane-systems as well as for metal-pigment-colors containing solvents.

It can be used also in rubber industry for continuous pressureless vulcanization (UHF-, LCM-, Hot-Air-Curing) for polar polymers (e. g. NBR) or when standing times of the compounds between mixing and extrusion are very short (less than 6 hours).

By reaction with water the calcium oxide particles will become 2-3 times bigger and due to this we are using only a special fine grade of calcium oxide with a particular size in average of just 7 µ. Therefore by using Kezadol PCI a damaging of the surface of the finished compounds caused by white specks can be avoided.

The dosage level of Kezadol PCI depends on the moisture of the several compounds. Considering that active content of calcium oxide we can say that 70 grams of Kezadol PCI are able to absorb 18 grams (= 1 mol) of water.
