ANTIFLAME™ EG350 (Expandable Graphite) is used in Polyurethane foams as a flame retardant. Typical Polyurethane foam applications are aircraft seats, heat and sound insulation for the automotive market, sealing tape in windows and doors and also in EVA and EPS foams. This product is used as an Intumescent flame retardant along with steel structure coatings due to its fine particle size. ANTIFLAME™ EG350 is a good alternative when halogenated flame retardants cannot be used in PE, PP and Polyolefins. It has a widespread usage in Plastic / Metal (Al) composite boards. Other applications of this product are in Bitumen Roof Sheets, plastic pipes, fire-stop putties and fire-stop pillows.
