i6002 is an effective multifunctional, biobased polymeric modifier for Semi Rigid and Flexible PVC compounds. It improves impact resistance, elongation, tear resistance, tensile toughness, melt elasticity, fusion, die swell, glossy surface finish and plasticization, while not compromising clarity and UV stability. It also promotes shear melting and faster fusion providing processing advantages over traditional widely accepted acrylic, CPE and other core-shell impact modifiers. This multifunctional modifier allows the overall formulation to be simplified in a cost effective manner. As a multi-use additive package, it facilitates on ease of use both at compounding (dry blend, henschel, farrel mixers) and processing equipment (extruders, injection molding). Being a miscible PVC polymeric modifier, it also reduces migration of other less compatible low molecular weight liquid additives, including ESO and other lubricants. It enables formulation of flexible or semi-rigid PVC compounds with improved permanence, oil resistance, heat ageing resistance and UV stability.
