TCC's ChemFlexx NP 920 plasticizer is an alkyl sulphonic acid phenyl ester (ASE) that is compatible with PVC, vinyl chloride copolymers TPU, NBR and other polymers. The non-phthalate plasticizer was developed to replace linear phthalates used where weatherability is critical (i.e. roofing membranes and pool liners).

ChemFlexx NP 920 is a slightly yellowish, clear liquid that is considered to be a safer plasticizer with better biodegradability and fewer biochemical effects than alternative linear phthalate plasticizers.

The environmentally friendly liquid compound has outstanding gelling capacity with many polymers including PVC and polyurethanes, resulting in lower processing temperatures an shorter processing times. High saponification resistance, especially compared to DEHP, due to NP 920's chemical structure. This is especially beneficial for articles that come into contact with water and alkaline media. Good compatibility with a large nmber of polymers such as polyurethane (PU), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), natural rubber (NR), styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR/BR), isobutylene-isoprene rubber (IIR), acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) and chloroprene rubber (CR).

ChemFlexx NP 920 has an outstanding resistance to weathering and light, good dielectric properties that give plasticized PVC outstanding weldability at high frequencies which lead to shorter cycle times.
