Kettlitz-Dispergator DS is a dispersing agent improving flow and extrusion properties of rubber compounds. The material, based on a water-in-oil emulsion of higher alcohols, esters and aliphatic fatty acids, is recommended to be used in EPDM and EPM, in NBR and butyl rubber compounds.

In natural rubber compounds Dispergator DS acts as physical peptizing agent which is indicated by easier mastication and lower Mooney viscosity. Therefore reduced mixing times can be achieved.

Many tests have shown that Dispergator DS can be used excellently in high loaded butyl compounds which tend to stick to mixing equipment and calendar rolls. In this application Dispergator DS provides easy handling and very good process ability of butyl compounds.

Generally a reduction in scorch and faster incorporation of fillers and all rubber ingredients will be noticed. An addition up to 10 phr does not cause any interference with the curing system. Kettlitz-Dispergator DS has no melting point and may be incorporated independently on the mixing temperature. The delivery form guarantees easy handling and fast incorporation of the product itself.
