Characteristics:
Stearic Acid can be used as internal/ external lubricant both in calendered and extrusion formulae. It is useful for non- toxic compounds in contact with food. In addition, it reduces tacking in very plasticized compounds and the plate out upon calender. Resin is commonly used between 0.2 and 0.8 per 100, but it must be adjusted according to the formula and use of the product. It may have incompatibilities with some tin stabilizer in rigid compounds.
