Microfine Wettable Sulfur MC is a magnesium carbonate treated grade of elemental rhombic sulfur (S8) used to vulcanize rubber compounds. Sulfur tends to re-agglomerate and the magnesium carbonate treatment acts as a parting agent improving dispersibility, reducing caking and hard particles. This product is often used in nitriles where sulfur dispersion can be critical. Any polymer that requires good quality sulfur dispersion (e.g., dynamic flexing parts, colored parts that display brown dots of poorly dispersed sulfur, or parts that have inconsistent cured properties) will benefit from the microfine particle size. Microfine Wettable Sulfur MC is also ideal for use in latex applications.
