AFCONA 5244
Anionic/cationic wetting and dispersing additive to improve the wetting of pigment surfaces and organically treated Bentonites. A 100% active solid version of AFCONA - 5044.

Due to the nearly 100% active solids AFCONA-5244 is very suitable for solvent-free or high solid systems like:
Because AFCONA-5244 has the same properties as AFCONA-5044 it could replace AFCONA - 5044 on the same solid level.
Note: AFCONA - 5244 will become slightly hazy at temperatures below 5°C. However, this will not influence the quality.
Product Properties:
- AFCONA - 5244 is the nearly 100% active solid version of AFCONA - 5044. Especially designed for high solid systems where the presence of solvents must be limited.
- AFCONA-5244 is an additive to help pigment dispersion. It reduces the interfacial tension between pigments or extenders and the vehicle. It stabilizes the pigments through electrical charge repulsion forces.
- Compared to the same active solid AFCONA - 5244 has the same properties as AFCONA - 5044. For details, please refer to the special properties and recommendations of AFCONA 5044.
Due to the nearly 100% active solids AFCONA-5244 is very suitable for solvent-free or high solid systems like:
- epoxies and polyurethane primers
- UPE applications like gel coat, buttons, SMC, BMC, etc.
- PVC systems
Because AFCONA-5244 has the same properties as AFCONA-5044 it could replace AFCONA - 5044 on the same solid level.
