ANTIFLAME™ CU is an efficient cyclic phosphonate, halogen free flame retardant that finds wideapplication for the treatment of textiles. It is non-corrosive with high phosphorous content and has excellent water solubility that could be used in treating a wide range of fabrics to impart flame retardancy. This high phosphorous containing product is suited for applications of polyester fabrics for wash durability as well as for topical non-durable applications of a wide variety fabric. It also demonstrates excellent flame improvement with many textile back coatings and is suited for acrylic based lattices and other oxygen containing polymers. This product helps to meet certain flame resisting requirements such as NFPA 701, MVSS-302 and other standards required by textile fabrics. Due to its excellent water solubility characteristics, this product can be added directly to the latex (acrylic, rubber etc.) without the addition of any emulsifier. In addition, ANTIFLAME™ CU has shown promise as a flame retardant for several polymer systems including polyurethane foam, elastomers, TPU and adhesives.
