ANTIFLAME™ DEEP/ V490 flame retardant is an efficient, low-viscosity flame retardant suitable for use in a wide range of rigid foams. The chemical stability of ANTIFLAME™ DEEP/ V490 flame retardant enables it to be used in formulated two-component systems as well as applications such as double-band laminates and block foams.

Applications:

ANTIFLAME™ DEEP/ V490 flame retardant is suitable for formulations containing CFC, HCFs, water or hydrocarbon blowing agents. When added to two-component systems, ANTIFLAME™ DEEP/ V490 flame retardant functions as a highly effective viscosity depressant that often improves the processing characteristics of formulations containing water-blowing or polyester polyols.

ANTIFLAME™ DEEP/ V490 flame retardant may be used at loadings of up to 20-25 parts to produce rigid foams that meet DIN 4102 B3 or B2 requirements. When used in combination with other flame retardants, ANTIFLAME™ DEEP/ V490 flame retardant meets various classification within BS 476 Part 7 and NFP 92-501.

ANTIFLAME™ DEEP/ V490 flame retardant is not recommended for use in prepolymers, 1k foams or for storage in the isocyanate component of foam systems.
