ABSORBINATOR™ 4Å Molecular Sieve (Powder) is a sodium / potassium alumino-silicate of type 4A crystalline structure. It is a white, free flowing powder having an effective pore opening of 4Å on activation.

APPLICATIONS:
ABSORBINATOR™ 4Å Molecular Sieve (Powder) is commercially used as a water adsorbent in paint formulations, adhesives, coatings, sealants, composites, polyurethane formulations, encapsulants, and in organic chemical reactions for drying of polar solvents (ethanol, tetrahydrofuran, benzene, toluene, etc.) and removal of water created during the reaction without affecting the chemical reaction. It can also be used in other resin systems or during the reaction to remove water that is absorbed, adsorbed or generated during the reaction process.

The small pore size of ABSORBINATOR™ 4Å Molecular Sieve (powder) prevents co-adsorption of hydrocarbon materials by excluding all other molecules while adsorbing water.
