MagniF
LKAB Minerals develop and market Magnetite, a natural iron oxide with unique properties. MagniF is the brand for specially developed Magnetite grades to be used as a functional filler for polymers and rubbers. Mined and processed at our own group resources in the north of Sweden ensures a long-term, reliable source of consistent quality material. MagniF product uses MagniF is a very pure and environmentally friendly material that due to its high density is very well suited for making high density compounds. In PolyPropylene for example densities up to 3 g/cm3 can be reached. Furthermore, Magnetite is conductive (both thermally and electrically), heatable by microwaves and ferri-magnetic. MagniF is applied in high density applications like sound dampening, stabilisation and gaining in "quality-feel". Its high thermal conductivity leads to significant cycle reduction by decreasing cooling times. Its electrical conductivity supports ESD applications. MagniF's combination of properties fits various application areas, from automotive to cosmetics, building and construction to appliances and leisure. |
