Behaviours in Rubber:

Pepizol-11 considerably accelerates the peptizing of Natural Rubber and Synthetic Rubbers at mastication temperature above 80°C thus saving a lot of time and energy. The higher the temperature of rubber, the greater the efficiency.

However, the temperature of the rubber should not exceed 165°C, as otherwise, rubber will cyclize above this level. Masticating in the internal mixer is especially advantageous since the temperature required for peptizing are generally reached rapidly.

Effects of reinforcing Carbon Black on Peptization during compound mixing using Peptizol-11 have also been observed almost similar.
