Benzophenone UV Absorber

Has the maximum absorption coefficient in short -wavelength UV regions. It exhibits minimal color contribution in the polymers.

Protects polymers from photo-degradation by absorbing UV light before it hits the polymer, which drastically reduces discoloration and slows the decline in physical

and mechanical properties of the polymer.

Shows a marked synergistic effect on weatherability (light stability) when used with HALS (hindered amine light stabilizer).

Care should be taken for its interaction with metal-ion which causes discoloration.

Approved as an indirect additive in food contact substances in US, EU and Japan.
