AFCONA 5066

AFCONA - 5066 has below special properties and recommended in below systems:
AFCONA-5066 is especially suited for medium to high-polar binder systems like:
AFCONA-5066 is not compatible with white spirit or paints which are diluted with white spirit.
Note: AFCONA - 5066 will become slightly hazy at temperatures 5° C. This will not influence the quality.
Product Properties:
- AFCONA-5066 has the same chemical structure as AFCONA-5065, but without silicone. The usages are the same as AFCONA-5065. It also can be used as additive for post addition to solve flooding and floating problems. Combination with a suitable High Molecular Weight Dispersant can be used as co-grinding agent. However, the performance of AFCONA- 5065 in most cases is better.
AFCONA - 5066 has below special properties and recommended in below systems:
- The performance and usage is almost the same as AFCONA - 5065. However AFCONA - 5066 do not contain any polysiloxane. Therefore, in many cases, in foam sensitive systems like coil coatings, floor coatings and those coatings applied by curtain coater, AFCONA - 5066 is more preferable.
- If polysiloxane is needed in the grinding phase, for better wetting and increasing grinding speed, the use of AFCONA non foam stabilizing polysiloxanes, such as AFCONA - 3236, AFCONA - 3238 and AFCONA - 3239 are recommended.
AFCONA-5066 is especially suited for medium to high-polar binder systems like:
- alkyd/amino resin combinations
- nitro-cellulose systems
- polyurethane systems
- acrylic polyisocyanate systems (2-pack acrylics)
- chlorinated polymers
