DANADD® MB-51UV is a high grade anti UV-masterbatch based on TPU. This UV-masterbatch is added to the PEARLTHANE®TPU's in order to reduce resp. to prevent the discolouration due to UV-radiation.

DANADD® MB-51UV can be applied both for extrusion and for injection moulding. Furthermore, DANADD® MB-51UV can be used as an anti-UV-(protective) additive for polyester and polyether TPU's.

Applications

DANADD® MB-51UV is added to the PEARLTHANE® TPUs which are used for the processing by extrusion and injection moulding. DANADD® MB-51UV is mainly added to articles requiring a high UV-protection. The main application of this product is in the field of transparent films and materials which are exposed to solar irradiation. 2 to 5 % of DANADD® MB-51UV are added to the TPU pellets. In case of procession by extrusion and injection moulding, the compounds of TPU pellets and UV- master batches shall not be processed at a temperature exceeding 240° C.
