ABSORBINATOR™ 3Å Molecular Sieve Beads are commercially recommended for the dehydration of all gas or liquid streams where minimizing co-adsorption of the carrier steam or other impurities is critical for optimal performance. The small pore size of ABSORBINATOR™ 3Å Molecular Sieve Beads prevents co-adsorption of hydrocarbons (cracked gas, ethylene, butadiene, and acetylene) excluding all other molecules while adsorbing water. It is also used as a water adsorbent in organic chemical reactions for drying of polar solvents (ethanol, tetrahydrofuran, benzene, toluene, etc.) and removal of water created during the reaction without affecting the chemical reaction.

It is also used for drying of:

• Polar liquids (methanol etc.)

• Refrigerants (e.g. R22)

• Air in insulated glass windows

• Kerosene and jet fuel

• N2-H2gas mixture made by cracking NH3
