AFCONA 3038
Product Properties:
- The properties of AFCONA - 3038 and 3037 are very similar. The main difference is that AFCONA - 3037 contains a highly compatible polysiloxane and AFCONA - 3038 does not contain any silicone. Thus, in terms of leveling and anti-crater, AFCONA 3037 performs better.
- In overall, AFCONA - 3038 is more polar, thus it has better solvency power than AFCONA-3037. Therefore, it has better resin solubility, which eventually promotes better flow. This compensates the non silicone containing character. Therefore, AFCONA - 3038 is suitable for systems where silicone is not allowed or too high curing temperature systems, such as, coil and can coatings.
- In general, AFCONA - 3038 have the same application usage as AFCONA - 3037.
Therefore, AFCONA - 3038 can be used as:
- As anti-blushing agent for lacquer drying system like NC and Thermoplastic acrylic
- Anti solvent popping and solvent boiling agent in baking paint
- Additive to prevent streaking in chlorinated rubber systems
- Additive to promote flow and leveling
