AFCONA 3700
Product Properties:
- AFCONA - 3700 is a highly fluorocarbon modified polyacrylic polymer. It has very low surface tension and therefore, it can substitute and perform as silicones without the side effects of silicones.
- AFCONA - 3700 reduces drastically surface tension of organic coating systems. This, together with good compatibility with most solvent-based systems and minimal foam stabilizing effect, makes it very effective as an anti-crater and flow control agent for all solvent-based coatings.
- Due to the low surface tension, it gives very good substrate wetting. Normally recommended to combine with a silicone based leveling agent to give optimum performance on leveling, anti-crater as well as flow control.
- AFCONA - 3700 is widely usedeispecially in refinish topcoats as a good prevention for crater formation caused by different environment on applications sites. Beside this, it improves the verical leveling in this application strongly.
AFCONA - 3700 is an excellent anti-crater and substrate wetting agent. AFCONA - 3700 is especially suited for:
- stoving enamels based on alkyd, acrylic, and polyester resins
- polyurethane coatings
- two-pack epoxy compounds
- air-drying alkyd systems
- UV coatings
