AFCONA 3750
Product Properties:
- AFCONA - 3750 is 52% solid version of AFCONA - 3700 for better handling in winter because the viscosity of AFCONA - 3700 very high, almost not pourable in winter. AFCONA - 3750 is a highly fluorocarbon modified acrylic polymer. It has very low surface tension and therefore, it can substitute and perform as silicones without the side effects of silicones.
- AFCONA - 3750 reduces drastically surface tension of organic coating systems. This, together with good compatibility in most solvent-based systems and with minimal foam stabilizing effect, makes it very effective as an anti-crater and flow control agent for all solvent based coating.
- Due to the low surface tension, it gives very good substrate wetting and normally recommended to combine with a silicone based leveling agent to gives optimum performance on leveling, anti-crater as well as flow control.
- AFCONA - 3750 is widely used, especially in refinish topcoats as a good prevention for crater formation, caused by different environment of application sites.
AFCONA-3750 is an excellent anti-crater and substrate wetting agent. AFCONA-3750 is especially suitable for:
- stoving enamels based on alkyd, acrylic and polyester resins
- polyurethane coatings
- two-pack epoxy compounds
- air-drying alkyd systems
- UV coating
