DekorFlake

DekorFlake is a range of natural mica flakes designed to impart a decorative metallic effect available in bronze, silver, gold and black colours.

LKAB Minerals mine and exclusively source mica from proven reserves worldwide, selecting outstanding quality raw material to manufacture the DekorFlake products in Europe.

DekorFlake product uses

• The permutation of aesthetic effects achievable with Dekorflake as a result of the extensive range of particle sizes and colours, is vast. Furthermore, variation of addition level allows for a variety of finishes to be achieved including granite, flecked, glittering/sparkling or metallic lustre.¨

• All grades are compatible with a variety of organic and inorganic matrices and systems, and are resistant to UV, weather, chemical and thermal degradation. Appearance does not tarnish or diminish under prolonged external exposure.

• DekorFlake finds use in a wide range of industries, including polymers, coatings and construction.

• Typical end use applications include high value products such as sanitary ware, polymer based flooring, solid surfacing, consumer plastic parts and containers, toys and cosmetic packaging.

• Other industrial applications include floor coatings, finishing plasters and renders for walls, ceramics, reconstituted stone castings, slabs, bricks and decorative concrete.
