TM-6 is an efficient sort of alpha-crystalline nucleating agent based on substituted dibenzylidene sorbitol for polyolefins. It can increase crystallization rate of polyethylene and polypropylene and reduce the size of spherulites, thus enhance clarity, surface gloss, stiffness, thermal distortiontemperature and creep resistance, and also shorten cycle time during the molding process. TM-6 is especially suitable for use in clarity modification of polypropylene injection moldings as well as in LLDPE films. Due to the use of a unique purificatory process, TM-6 has low odor and high performance.

Application & Features:

TM-6 is an efficient nucleating agent for polyolefins used in homopolymer and copolymer polypropylene and LLDPE films, as well as super high molecular weight polyethylene. The results show that the haze is decreased from 37% to about 10% by adding 0.3% TM-6 in homopolymer polypropylene injection molded piece of 2mm thickness, and that of polypropylene random copolymer injection molded piece with the same thickness is decreased to about 6%. The haze in LLDPE films can be decreased not less than 87% by adding 0.2% TM-6. The recommended level is 0.1-0.35% in polypropylene transparent injection moldings, and is 0.1-0.2% in LLDPE. It can be employed in the form of masterbatch, and also in conjunction with white oil or other appropriate dispersant agents directly. The recommended processing temperature range is 250-270?.
