UV-418 is anew sort of UV absorber. It can strongly absorb UV light and the maximum of absorption is 326nm. UV-418 has stronger UV absorption than any other traditional breeds of UV absorbers, which protects polymers from light degradation more efficiently. It has the characters of low volatility, high molecular weight and easy handling. Moreover, UV-418 shows satisfying synergistic effects with hindered amine light stabilizers(HALS).

Application & Features:

UV-418 can be used in various engineering plastic(i.e. PC, PET). It can be used singly and combined with hindered amine light stabilizers(HALS). It can be directly compounded with resins or prepared into masterbatch or dissolve in solvent and painted onto the surface of the product. The recommended level UV-418 is 0.25-0.3%. The combination of 0.3% of UV-418 is better than other tradition UV absorbers such as hydroxyphenyltriazines and benzotriazoles when used in the 1mm PC injection-moulded sheets; and the addition of 0.25% of UV-418 has dramatic UV absorptive effects than other traditional UV absobers when used in the 2mm PET injection-moulded sheets.
