CAS-20™ -4
CAS-20-4, anhydrous calcium sulfate, is an extremely white, finely divided particulate filler. It is manufactured from high purity gypsum rock using controlled calcination and fine grinding. The calcination process used for CAS-20-4 greatly reduces its moisture affinity. As compared to SNOW WHITE® or CA-5™ fillers, its narrow particle size distribution contributes to optimum impact properties in thermoplastics. CAS-20-4 finds success in a variety of thermoplastic, thermoset and plastisol systems.
- It can be used at high loadings and consistently provides an excellent balance of properties and good surface appearance.
- CAS-20-4 is ideal for food packaging applications requiring a filler with purity and food acid resistance.
- Because of its high brightness, CAS-20-4 is also used as a partial replacement for titanium dioxide.
- Its low Mohs hardness minimizes abrasion to processing equipment. CAS-20-4 is available in 50 lb. bags from our plant in Southard, Oklahoma.
