Composition: Diphenyl guanidine
Uses: Accicure DPG is used (normally in the range 0.5±0.3 phr dosages) as a secondary accelerator in combination with thiazoles and sulphenamides. Such combinations give fast cures and a high level of physicals with good modulus and are very popular for footwear & cables, etc. As a replacement of ETU, it is a preferred accelerator for Neoprenes used in conjunction with Accicure TMT or Accicure MS (TMTMS) where usage of both normally stay around 1 phr. It is also a popular accelerator (2.5-3 phr) for ebonites. Accicure DPG is used in NR latex as a secondary gelling agent ("foam stabilizer") in the silico-fluoride-gelled latex foam process.
