TM-1 is a primary sort of ?-crystalline nucleating agent based on dibenzylidene sorbitol for polyolefins. It can enhance the physical and mechanical properties of polyolefins, such as clarity, surface gloss, stiffness, therrmal distortion temperature and creep resistance, and also shorten cycle time during the molding process. TM-1 is especially used for enhancing stiffness and clarity of polypropylene films, and as brightener in injection moldings. TM-1 has high performance and low odor due to the use of a unique purificatory process.

Application & Features:

TM-1 is mainly useful in films of homopolymer and random copolymer polypropylene as well as injection molded and extruded products. It features a combination of enhancing clarity, stiffness, surface gloss, therrmal distortion temperature and other physical and mechanical properties. The results show that surface gloss increase from 60 and 82 to 110, and thermal distortion temperature is elevated to 127? by adding 0.3% TM-1 in injection moldings of homopolymer and random copolymer polypropylene; the haze is decreased by 67% in the polypropylene sheet of 1mm thickness by adding 0.3% TM-1. Thus it is specially used as stiffness-enhancing agent of BOPP, brightener of polypropylene products, thermal distortion modifier of PP-R tubings and impact modifier of polypropylene automobile bumpers. The commended do sage range is 0.2-0.3%, it can be employed in the form of masterbatch, and also in conjunction with white oil or other appropriate dispersant agents directly. The recommended processing temperature range is 220-240?.
