RL547 is a general purpose wax release agent consisting of a blend of waxes dispersed in an aliphatic solvent. This product is CFC and HCFC free.

RL547 is a high solids version of RL247. It is designed for deep draw moulds or deep thin section cavities. Its higher solids content enable it to release in a shear situation rather than a straight pull from the mould surface. RL547 is suitable for use with many casting materials and a variety of mould types. Typical casting materials are polyurethane epoxy acrylic and polyester. RL547 has been formulated for high quality general purpose moulding at temperatures from ambient to 80oC. RL547 may be used where a silicone release agent is undesirable such as when the moulded part needs to be painted or bonded. RL547 may also be used as a sealant for wood stone cement and other porous surfaces prior to moulding. Very porous substrates may require the application of a specialised sealant such as DS302 prior to application of RL547.
